About Me
I'm a hands-on Marketing Manager who handles every part of the marketing function - designing, building and maintaining WordPress websites, carrying out SEO, creating and scheduling LinkedIn content, and producing everything from copy to graphics and photography.
When I joined my current role, the business had very few incoming enquiries. I changed that. The results are detailed on this page.
What I Do
Designing, building, managing and optimising WordPress sites. Theme customisation, plugin management, and technical troubleshooting.
Technical, on-page and content SEO to improve search rankings and click-through rates. GA4, Looker Studio and Google Search Console for reporting and performance analysis.
Blogs, case studies, website copy and social media content - written in whatever voice the work requires. I use AI tools as part of the process, but the final word is always mine.
Managing the company LinkedIn page - writing, designing and scheduling content to maintain a consistent brand presence and keep the business visible to the right audience.
Brand-consistent visuals for LinkedIn posts, brochures, leaflets, digital & print ads, stationery templates, business cards and letterheads. Created using Canva and GIMP.
Competitor and customer research, SWOT and PESTLE analysis, and identifying new market sectors - finding out what's going on and presenting it clearly.
Selected Work
Achieved through consistent website optimisation over five years, turning the website into a reliable source of inbound sales enquiries. (Website form data only - telephone enquiries not included.)
Designed a new logo, colour palette, and strapline, modernising a dated visual identity. Created a full brand guide and asset library so that everything - website, print, social - looked consistent across the board.
Grew the website's monthly Google search impressions consistently over four years- entirely through organic SEO, with no paid search spend.
Improved the website's average search ranking from page 5 to page 1 over four years through organic SEO alone.
My Core Values
I worked through a values questionnaire and these four kept coming to the top — a snapshot of what matters to me most at work.
Be honest, do the right thing, and don't cut corners - even when nobody's watching. Own your mistakes. Say what you mean and mean what you say.
Get it done. Analyse what you need to analyse, then act on it - don't sit on information waiting for the perfect moment that never comes. Solve the problem, move it forward, make it happen.
Come at things sideways. Try something different. Use imagination to solve problems and find a better way - don't just do things the way they've always been done.
Everyone deserves to be listened to, taken seriously, and treated as a valuable contributor. A good working environment is one where people feel comfortable putting their ideas forward - because they know they'll be heard.
Currently Learning
I don't wait to be trained - I find the gaps and fill them. Here's what I'm working on right now, and how I'm putting it into practice.
Currently studying for the HubSpot Inbound Marketing Certification. Covering content strategy, buyer personas, SEO, conversion optimisation, lead nurturing, and marketing automation.
Using Google Search Console data and AI to run structured SEO audits - covering CTR performance, keyword cannibalisation, content decay and quick wins. All turned into a clear action plan with specific fixes and priorities.
I know HTML and CSS - what I'm learning is how to use AI tools effectively as part of that process. Faster builds, better problem-solving, and knowing when to trust the output and when to bin it.
And One More Thing...
I am honest, trustworthy and conscientious. I love learning and I'm quick to pick up new skills. I'm excellent at forming good working relationships with customers and colleagues. I am flexible and willing to pitch in. I believe that looking after the customer is of paramount importance and that life is too short for office politics. I am hopeless at interviews.
